studying the qur’an

I have made some attempts in the past to read through the Qur’an and have in fact read the whole book (an Englsih translation) over a period of time. However I found it hard going in places and have never really given enough time to ponder it as a whole see how it relates and compares to the Bible. I’m interested in reading and thinking about what others believe  as well as what I believe, so am going to read through a relatively new English translation by Tarif Khalidi bit by bit each week and post thoughts and reflections here. I’ll begin with the opening surah then work my way from back to front as a rough attempt at a sense of chronology. Your thoughts/feedback is welcome, especially to any Muslim friends out there.
